HUMRĀ TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: August 1, 2025
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and participation in all services offered under the HUMRĀ product and service brand, operated by Humra Matchmaking & Micro Wedding Ltd (the “Corporation”), including matchmaking, dating events, coaching, and micro-wedding services (collectively, the “Services”).
HUMRĀ Micro-Wedding planning and execution services are governed by a separate written service agreement, including separate liability, indemnity, and insurance provisions, which shall prevail in the event of any inconsistency with these Terms of Service.
By accessing this website, completing any HUMRĀ form, purchasing any HUMRĀ service, or attending any HUMRĀ event, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
1. ELIGIBILITY, AGE & GEOGRAPHIC RESTRICTIONS
To participate in any HUMRĀ service, you must:
Be at least 19 years of age (events may involve alcohol service)
Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws of Ontario and Canada
Provide truthful, accurate, and complete information at all times
Toronto / GTA–Only Core Services
The following services are primarily restricted to individuals who reside within the City of Toronto or the Greater Toronto Area (GTA):
Discretionary 2-Hour Radius Exception
At its sole and absolute discretion, HUMRĀ may permit participation in HUMRĀ Spark Sessions and HUMRĀ Chemistry Series from individuals who:
Reside outside the Toronto/GTA region, but
Are located within an approximate two (2) hour travel radius of the event location.
This is an exception, not a right. HUMRĀ may grant or deny this exception for any reason or no reason, without explanation or liability.
Canada-Wide Services
The following services are available to participants across Canada, subject to these Terms:
HUMRĀ Match – 1:1 matchmaking
The Dating Formula Package – One-on-one dating coaching (single-session or one-time engagement)
The Dating Formula Package: The Practice – Monthly or recurring one-on-one dating coaching
HUMRĀ Micro-Weddings – Planning and execution of intimate weddings (up to 50 guests)
Geographic Match Disclaimer (HUMRĀ Match)
For HUMRĀ Match, especially for participants located outside the Toronto/GTA region:
HUMRĀ does not guarantee that any available match will exist within your city, province, or geographic area.
You expressly acknowledge that any introductions may involve long-distance connections and that no promise of local, same-city, or nearby matches is made.
Misrepresentation
Any misrepresentation or omission regarding:
Age
Identity
Relationship status
Location or residence
is a material breach of these Terms and may result in immediate disqualification or termination from the Services without refund.
The Corporation reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse, limit, or terminate access to any Service at any time.
2. ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS, CONSENT & SIGNATURES
You agree that all agreements, notices, disclosures, consents, and other communications provided electronically by HUMRĀ or provided by you to HUMRĀ through the website, intake forms, applications, event registrations, coaching registrations, checkout pages, invoices, and email or SMS communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
You further agree that your use of checkboxes, typed entries, electronic acknowledgments, and form submissions constitutes your legal electronic signature and forms a binding agreement between you and Humra Matchmaking & Micro Wedding Ltd in accordance with the Ontario Electronic Commerce Act and applicable Canadian law.
You expressly consent to receiving communications from HUMRĀ via email, telephone calls, voicemail, and text message (SMS) for purposes related to:
Service delivery and administration
Scheduling and confirmations
Matchmaking communications and introductions
Event details and updates
Coaching services
Billing, invoicing, and payment processing
Important service, policy, and legal updates
You may withdraw your communication consent at any time by contacting hello@humra.love, however you acknowledge that withdrawal of such consent may limit or prevent our ability to provide certain Services.
3. REQUIRED QUESTIONNAIRE — HUMRĀ COMPATIBILITY BLUEPRINT
All participants in HUMRĀ dating-related services (including Spark Sessions, Chemistry Series, HUMRĀ Match, and any Dating Formula services) must complete the HUMRĀ Compatibility Blueprint questionnaire.
By submitting the Compatibility Blueprint, you represent and warrant that:
All statements and responses are truthful, accurate, and not misleading
You have not intentionally withheld material information (e.g., relationship status, dependents, major lifestyle factors, serious criminal history, etc.)
You understand that HUMRĀ relies on this information for screening, invitations, and matchmaking decisions
Any falsification, omission, or misrepresentation may result in:
4. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES & NO OUTCOME GUARANTEES
HUMRĀ provides a range of social, matchmaking, coaching, and micro-wedding services, including:
Spark Sessions – Curated, activity-based singles mixers designed to facilitate introductions in a smaller, more intentional setting.
Chemistry Series – Guided group dating experiences designed to allow deeper interaction over multiple shared activities.
HUMRĀ Match – Private, 1:1 matchmaking introductions based on compatibility screening and HUMRĀ’s proprietary matching approach (Canada-wide; no geographic proximity guarantee).
The Dating Formula Package – One-on-one dating coaching delivered as a single-session or one-time engagement.
The Dating Formula Package: The Practice – Monthly or recurring one-on-one dating coaching intended for continued skill-building and reflection.
HUMRĀ Micro-Weddings – Planning and execution support for intimate weddings (up to 50 guests) including vendor coordination, timeline support, and event-day oversight, as agreed in a separate service agreement.
No Promises or Guarantees
You understand and agree that:
HUMRĀ does not and cannot guarantee:
That you will receive any specific number of introductions
That any introduction will result in chemistry, attraction, or compatibility
That you will enter into a romantic relationship, engagement, or marriage
That your relationship, if formed, will be successful or long-lasting
All Services involve subjective human judgment and inherently uncertain outcomes.
Your experience will depend on your own behaviour, preferences, communication, and decisions, as well as those of other participants and third parties.
Participation in the Services is undertaken entirely at your own risk.
5. USER CONDUCT & ZERO-TOLERANCE POLICY
As a condition of using the Services, you agree that you will:
Act respectfully and professionally toward all participants, staff, vendors, and venues.
Respect personal boundaries, explicit consent, and “no” in all contexts.
Refrain from harassment, discrimination, threats, coercion, stalking, or any abusive conduct.
Refrain from sexual harassment or any form of non-consensual behaviour.
Follow all venue rules, codes of conduct, and applicable laws, including Ontario liquor laws and local regulations where events occur.
HUMRĀ reserves the right to immediately:
for behaviour deemed inappropriate, unsafe, disrespectful, or in violation of these Terms.
Such removal or termination does not entitle you to any refund, and may be accompanied by a permanent ban from future Services.
6. NO BACKGROUND, CRIMINAL, OR IDENTITY SCREENING
You acknowledge and agree that:
HUMRĀ does not conduct criminal background checks, credit checks, or full identity verification on participants.
HUMRĀ does not independently verify employment, income, education, or personal history claims made by participants.
You are solely responsible for:
Exercising due diligence and caution
Protecting your own safety
Deciding who to meet, how, and under what circumstances
All interactions with other participants are undertaken entirely at your own risk. HUMRĀ and the Corporation are not responsible for the actions, omissions, or conduct of any participant.
7. ALCOHOL, INTOXICATION & EVENT SAFETY
Some HUMRĀ events may be held at venues where alcohol is served, either by HUMRĀ, a licensed caterer, or a third-party venue.
By attending such events, you agree that:
You will consume alcohol, if at all, responsibly and in moderation.
You will not drive or operate any vehicle while impaired.
You are responsible for arranging safe and lawful transportation to and from events.
You understand that intoxication may lead to removal from the event for safety reasons.
HUMRĀ and the Corporation:
Are not liable for any injury, damage, loss, or incident arising from your alcohol consumption, intoxication, or subsequent actions.
May, at their discretion, refuse service, deny entry, or remove any person who appears intoxicated, aggressive, or unsafe.
8. PAYMENT, INVOICING & NO-REFUND POLICY
Payment & Invoicing
All fees for HUMRĀ services are quoted in Canadian Dollars (CAD) unless stated otherwise.
All invoices are issued via a designated payment processor (Square, Stripe, PayPal, etc)
Services must be paid in full in advance, unless a written payment plan is explicitly agreed to.
No-Refund Policy
ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
NO REFUNDS — NO EXCEPTIONS.
This applies to, without limitation:
Spark Sessions tickets
Chemistry Series participation
HUMRĀ Match fees
The Dating Formula Package (single-session coaching)
The Dating Formula Package: The Practice (monthly or recurring coaching)
HUMRĀ Micro-Weddings retainers and fees
You are not entitled to a refund due to:
Change of mind or personal circumstances
Scheduling conflicts or failure to attend
Dissatisfaction with subjective aspects of the experience (e.g., perceived quality of matches, chemistry, venue preference, etc.)
Lack of perceived “results” or relationship outcomes
Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
You agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes with your bank or payment provider unless you have first:
Unjustified chargebacks (including those contrary to this No-Refund Policy) constitute a breach of these Terms, and the Corporation reserves the right to:
Recover all associated fees, penalties, and costs (including legal costs to the extent permitted by law)
Suspend or terminate your access to any ongoing or future Services
9. EVENT ASSUMPTION OF RISK & LIABILITY RELEASE
By attending any HUMRĀ event or in-person activity, you acknowledge and agree that:
Participation in social, matchmaking, and group events involves inherent risks, including emotional distress, interpersonal conflict, injury, illness, and property loss.
HUMRĀ events may take place at third-party venues over which the Corporation does not have complete control.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you:
Assume all such risks voluntarily, whether or not they are foreseeable.
Release and hold harmless Humra Matchmaking & Micro Wedding Ltd, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, agents, and venue partners from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with your participation, except where such release is prohibited by law.
A separate Event Waiver and Release may be required for certain Services. Execution or electronic acceptance of such waiver is a mandatory condition of participation.
10. PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & MARKETING USE
By attending any HUMRĀ event, you acknowledge and agree that:
Photography and videography may be conducted by HUMRĀ staff or authorized contractors.
Non-sensitive images or footage from events may be used by HUMRĀ for promotional, marketing, or advertising purposes, including on websites, social media, and digital or print campaigns.
You grant the Corporation:
A worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use your image, likeness, and voice captured in such content for marketing and promotional purposes, without compensation.
If you do not wish to appear in photos or video:
You must notify HUMRĀ in writing before the event at hello@humra.love, and
HUMRĀ will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request, but cannot guarantee complete exclusion from all background or group imagery.
HUMRĀ will not intentionally publish or highlight images in a way that is reasonably likely to cause you direct, targeted harm or defamation.
11. DATING COACHING DISCLAIMER (EDUCATIONAL — NOT THERAPY)
All dating coaching services offered under:
are:
Educational and informational in nature only
Based on general communication, mindset, and relationship principles
Designed to support reflection, skill-building, and personal awareness
They are not:
Psychotherapy or psychological counselling
Medical, psychiatric, or mental-health treatment
A substitute for professional mental-health care, diagnosis, or treatment
The Corporation and its representatives:
Are not licensed psychologists, psychiatrists, psychotherapists, or physicians
Do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical, psychiatric, or mental-health condition
You are solely responsible for:
Your own emotional and mental well-being
Seeking help from a licensed medical or mental-health professional when needed
Any decisions or actions you take based on coaching discussions
There are no guarantees regarding:
Dating or relationship success
Emotional or psychological outcomes
Resolution of personal issues or patterns
If you are in crisis, have a history of significant trauma, or are experiencing symptoms of mental illness (e.g., severe anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, self-harm, psychosis), you should immediately seek support from a licensed mental-health professional, physician, or emergency service. HUMRĀ coaching is not appropriate as a sole or primary intervention in such situations.
12. MICRO-WEDDING SERVICES & INSURANCE REQUIREMENT
For all HUMRĀ Micro-Weddings:
The hosting couple (clients) must obtain their own event liability insurance with a recommended minimum coverage of $2,000,000 CAD.
Proof of such insurance must be provided to HUMRĀ no later than fourteen (14) days before the event date.
The Corporation is not liable for:
Vendor failures, delays, or non-performance (including venues, caterers, photographers, florists, entertainers, or rental companies).
Weather-related disruptions or cancellations.
Guest behaviour, intoxication, or misconduct.
Events beyond HUMRĀ’s reasonable control, including but not limited to force majeure events (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, strikes, pandemics).
If required insurance is not provided:
HUMRĀ may cancel or suspend Micro-Wedding Services, and
Any fees paid remain non-refundable, except where otherwise required by law.
The full scope of Micro-Wedding Services may be further detailed in a separate written service agreement, which will govern to the extent of any inconsistency with this Section.
13. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
All intellectual property associated with HUMRĀ, including but not limited to:
Logos, trademarks, service names, and branding
Website design and written content
Questionnaires, including the HUMRĀ Compatibility Blueprint
Program structures, formats, and materials
Marketing copy, event concepts, and proprietary processes
is the exclusive property of Humra Matchmaking & Micro Wedding Ltd or its licensors.
You may not:
Copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from HUMRĀ content or materials
Use HUMRĀ branding, logos, or content for any commercial or competing purpose
without the prior written consent of the Corporation.
14. PRIVACY & DATA USE
Your use of the Services is also governed by HUMRĀ’s Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference.
In general:
HUMRĀ collects personal information primarily to deliver Services, screen participants, facilitate introductions, and improve offerings.
HUMRĀ endeavours to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and relevant Ontario legislation.
By using the Services, you consent to:
The collection, use, and disclosure of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
HUMRĀ contacting you via email or other provided contact information for purposes related to the Services, including scheduling, updates, and marketing (subject to your consent preferences).
15. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
The Services are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis.
HUMRĀ and the Corporation expressly disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to:
Implied warranties of merchantability
Fitness for a particular purpose
Non-infringement
Reliability, timeliness, or availability of the Services
HUMRĀ does not warrant that:
The Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
Any particular result, outcome, or match will be achieved.
16. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK & THIRD-PARTY CONDUCT
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, HUMRĀ and Humra Matchmaking & Micro Wedding Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of opportunity, loss of enjoyment, emotional distress, psychological harm, reputational harm, or data loss, arising out of or in connection with the Services.
You expressly acknowledge that participation in HUMRĀ Services, including dating events, matchmaking, coaching, and micro-wedding services, involves inherent personal, emotional, and physical risks, including but not limited to interpersonal conflict, rejection, emotional distress, psychological discomfort, injury, illness, and the conduct of third parties. You voluntarily assume all such risks.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, HUMRĀ and Humra Matchmaking & Micro Wedding Ltd shall not be responsible or liable for any injury, harm, loss, or damage to the extent caused by:
Other participants, guests, or third parties
Venue conditions or vendor services beyond the Corporation’s direct control
Alcohol consumption
Transportation to or from any event
Any communications, meetings, relationships, harassment, threats, or other conduct occurring outside of HUMRĀ-hosted activities or after contact information has been exchanged
HUMRĀ does not monitor, control, or assume responsibility for any off-platform communications, conduct, harassment, threats, or interactions between participants following an introduction or event.
This exclusion applies regardless of the legal theory asserted, including contract, negligence, tort, strict liability, or otherwise.
If, and only if, liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, the total aggregate liability of HUMRĀ and Humra Matchmaking & Micro Wedding Ltd for any and all claims arising out of or relating to the Services other than HUMRĀ Micro-Weddings shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by you to HUMRĀ for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
This liability cap does not apply to HUMRĀ Micro-Wedding planning or execution services, which are governed by a separate written service agreement and separate insurance requirements.
17. TERMINATION
The Corporation may, at any time and without prior notice:
if, in its sole discretion, it determines that you:
Have breached these Terms
Have provided false or misleading information
Present a safety, reputational, or operational risk to HUMRĀ, its participants, or its partners
Termination or suspension does not entitle you to any refund of fees paid, except where otherwise required by law.
18. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms and any disputes arising out of or relating to the Services are governed by:
without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
You agree that any legal action or proceeding shall be brought exclusively in the courts of the Province of Ontario, and you irrevocably submit to the jurisdiction of such courts.
19. CHANGES TO TERMS
HUMRĀ may update or modify these Terms from time to time.
If you do not agree with any updated Terms, you must discontinue use of the Services.
